Long Holiday!

Seems like I've been having all the long stuffs lately. haha.. I mean from the long weekend to a long holiday. ;)

And how did I spend my holidays? Basically, I was always out with friends shopping for gifts and some personal items and having lunch or dinner. Too much spending for the year end, but quite worth it. And to top my list, the favorite part was the short trip to Melaka. The place is way better than JB when it comes to safety and places to tour around. I'll be sharing some photos below.

My Melaka souvenir shirt worth RM10 only. The RM3 ticket to the Museum (green), RM17 movie ticket (white), and the RM19 bus ticket back to SG (red).

Not a good shot but this will do. lol.. This is their pedicab decorated with too many flowers which will just make the passenger feels like a member of the royal family being toured around. lol.. We didn't ride on this one though.

My brekky. A carrot milk juice, a green tea soup and a bowl of rice and mixed veggies. The soup tastes a little bitter. But i love the bowl of veggies with peanut. I missed taking photos of the rest of the food that we ate.

Cheese tart (the one with a bite), Portugese Egg tart (the one with a hollow in the middle), and an original Egg tart ( the big yellow one).

Guess what's surrounding this park? Malls. Yes shopping malls. Awesome it is! Especially with me in the middle. haha..

One of their Museums. Inside are all the tradings, business, ships and ruler histories during the Portugese period of conquest.
They call this The Fort. It's an old Catholic church.
I also love how these people preserved most of their curtural heritage and histories. Reminds me of my country and my history subjects. Basically, everything in Melaka is just too cheap. I mean way cheaper compared to how much you get them in Singapore. 3D movie ticket, for instance, is just RM17 which is more or less half the price lower than any of the cinemas in SG. And the food, one can eat to his/her heart's content without worrying much of the price (I did not indulge much on the food though 'coz I am trying to control my food intake). My meals were only around RM6 each serving. This place is highly recommendable to visit.

Lonnnggg Weekend!

It's a lazy Sunday. I've originally planned to spend this day reading Gulliver's Travel as part of my to-do list, but I got bored so I put it down and took a short nap. (thelazyme). Anyhoo I managed to carry out my movie marathon on Friday and Saturday. I mean, movie marathon in the morning and meeting friends in the afternoon. There, not a wasted weekend I suppose.

Here are the movies I've watched:
FRIDAY: Sweet Home Alabama starred by Reese Witherspoon, Josh Lucas and Patrick Dempsey; Laws of Attraction by Pierce Bornan and Julianne Moore; and There's Something About Mary which stars Cameron Diaz and Ben Stiller. I was not able to finish the last movie though because the 2nd disc is no longer working. :(

SATURDAY: RED starred by Bruce Willis, and a Girl with a Dragon Tattoo, a Swedish movie which was dubbed in English. And again, I did not finish this one too because of it's gruesome portrayal of rape and killings. Too much for my innocent eyes to take. ahem.. :D But really it was too much that I almost threw up, and even after I stopped watching it, I still have that weird feeling in my stomach. Thankfully, I was meeting Rhoy that Saturday afternoon and the pasalubongs from Pinas made my day.

I got a Camiguin made Pastel which I opened immediately and took one piece while we're waiting for the bus, Palapa which made me drool and hungry that we ended up at the foodcourt to have a taste of it (because i could no longer wait), and a bottle of my favorite Lady's Choice Chicken Spread. And here are those stuffs. :))
